Knotty DIY Sauna Kit Includes...
- 1"x6" tongue & groove (T&G) kiln-dried knotty Western Red Cedar for all interior sauna walls and ceiling, supplied in full length boards.
- Two-tier heavy-duty sauna benches of clear grade 1"x4" Western Cedar, normally on the longest wall
- The cedar sauna door is complete with window, door frame, casing, stops, and all door hardware
- Duckboard sauna floor is optional
- Aluminum foil vapor barrier for the sauna walls & ceiling
- Sauna light is vapor proof
- A Standard sauna heater with controls and rocks

Why Western Red Cedar & Not Eastern White Cedar? |
Western Red Cedar is 30% less dense and will not twist or shrink.
WRC is the ideal wood for saunas.
Eastern White Cedar tends to split when nailed near the end of a board.

Shipping Cost: FREE SHIPPING applies on most precut sauna kit sizes. Shipping includes FREE LIFTGATE Delivery Service, so the 500# crate is lowered to the ground by the trucker's hydraulic equipment (normal cost is $55). A sauna kit priced under $2,200. is subject to a small fuel surcharge as shown here. FREE Shipping to CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, MT, WY, UT, AZ, NM requires a $2,500 order.
Sauna Kit Cost for Small Sizes: A sauna kit priced below minimum order is subject to a fuel surcharge of $65. to $120. depending on the destination. States AK, HI are quoted individually. You Pay NO SALES TAX.
Sauna Building Details - Affordable Sauna Kit... 18 to 24 hours not including framing and insulating ttime. Medium handy. Hammer, handsaw, tape measure, square, nail set, drill/cordless screwdriver, mitre box (for trimming). A pneumatic nailer/stapler helps speed up installation. This is a permanent sauna installation.
Rough-in Requirements - Affordable Sauna Kit...The sauna space must be fully framed (normally using 2"x4" studs) and insulated with R13 insulation. Example: A 5'x7' sauna room should measure 5'x7' between the wall framing with a sauna height of 7' or 80" to 82" minimum. The standard sauna door rough opening is 26"x75". The prehung door swings outwards either left-hung or right-hung. Please specify when ordering. A concrete floor is ideal, a floor drain is not needed. Wiring to the sauna will need to be supplied by you or your electrician. |
